Sitting on the ground

Since I came to campus this morning,  I’ve been sitting and walking outside. I’ve been sitting o  the ground in my favorite part of campus. I know that winter is finally over, not just because the humidity like the rain has come nCl, and the need to enjoy be slightly sad also, but because the ground beneath my seat is warm. The sun has been on it. Like the turtles I’m staring at, sunning our backs, there is warmth. The grass has begun to come out. I could look for new four leaf clovers if I dared, but not yet. It is green again, and even in the dirt. Listening to red wing black birds over trees and cut down cattails, it is good to be outside.

I am a teacher-to-be who loves people. I am not afraid of many things. I like to explain my thoughts logically on a very birds-eye view level--I was born thinking that way. I follow Jesus Christ, and I accept only that label to describe my identity--that I am a child of God, as are infinite others, regardless of their other identities. Christ is my one thing.
