You made me to nurture,

You made me to care,

To love

To listen

You made me to be merciful,

You made me, you called me into humility.

You broke only what you saved,

You changed only what you blessed,

You asked nothing in return

Except that I could be free in loving you,

And I do.

You shaped me,

Guided me,

Made my soul limitless,

Like water passing through your hands.

A clay beauty,

A fired vessel,

Glazed in love;

Beautiful without embellishment.

You made me fireproof,

And although bits of me simmer away,

I glitter like Gold;

The perfect creation-image of my Father

Who is infinite.

Papa, let me not forget

That to glitter like this I had to die,

Like he died,

We had to rise together.

Please love me in a way I can share!

Please let me love them even more tomorrow,

Let “give” never be whispered,

I am nothing more than I was,

But I was yours then too!

Let me love.

Let me give.

Let me feel.

Let it be free!

Papa, your goodness doesn’t end,

I will praise you.

I may be backed up against a cliff,

So lucky I can’t cartwheel,

I’ll look up, you’ll teach me!

For the God of Abraham and Isaac,

A Tower above me,

A cornerstone beneath my feet;

I will sing your praises,

Loudly, literally as I drive,

I will dance,

Alone until they join me,

Your Goodness doesn’t stop in the dark,

It escalates us all out of it!

Let there be no end

To the blessings you’ve poured onto us.

I will praise you; Selah.

I am a teacher-to-be who loves people. I am not afraid of many things. I like to explain my thoughts logically on a very birds-eye view level--I was born thinking that way. I follow Jesus Christ, and I accept only that label to describe my identity--that I am a child of God, as are infinite others, regardless of their other identities. Christ is my one thing.
